The makers of Monopoly have brought out a new version to commemorate the promotion of the Blackpool football team to the premiership. Blackpool and Fylde Monopoly has been in the making for some time and was today launched at the top of Blackpool Tower after a competition amongst the public in and around Blackpool to suggest popular landmarks and destinations to add to the game.
As you might expect areas such as the Winter Gardens, Stanley Park, the Pleasure Beach and the Imperial Hotel all now figure prominently on the Blackpool and Fylde Monopoly board. This is just the latest in a long line of you Monopoly versions to hit the market in 2010 and has certainly caught the attention of people in the Blackpool area. Retailers in Blackpool have already reported strong demand ahead of the Christmas period and many retailers are taking significant pre-orders for the Blackpool and Fylde Monopoly game.
